Female Hormone Panel

DESCRIPTION:
This 12-sample saliva test measures progesterone, oestrogen and testosterone levels over the monthly cycle to identify any hormonal imbalances. Common symptoms of this can include premenstrual tension, fluid retention, excessive menstrual bleeding, menstrual irregularity, low libido, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, infertility, acne, and excess body hair.

Indications:
The Female Hormone Panel is indicated for both premenopausal and perimenopauseal women not currently supplementing with hormones. An analysis of oestrogen, progestesterone and testosterone can reveal ovulatory function and trends in hormone production.
Imbalances such as unopposed oestrogen, high follicular progesterone, anovulation and luteal phase defects are easily identified. This test is especially useful in treatment of patients with chronic gynaecologic disorders.
