To celebrate ICIM Medics’s eight years of operation it is a fact that the ‘impossible’ has no place in this story, this is a good definition of our company’s tendency to constantly evolve and exceed expectations. When we opened our first centre in 2001, it would have been difficult to imagine that after 8 years of operation we would be the largest integrated medical centre in Ireland, with an increasing international reputation.

The private enterprise niche, work, dedication and persistence of our team are always the main ingredients in our recipe for success, and the common denominator for all our business projects.

In 2007, we moved to our new premises. We attained recognition and consolidated our market position. We accelerated the pace of national health changes, and we announced the best range of integrated medical assessments ever created in Ireland. We reinforced our health care vocation (that is committed to identifying the root cause of the individual complaint) to allow us to maintain the path of growth and nationalization of our business projects.

Considering this direction, we revised our strategic objective to face a bigger challenge: to double value by 2009. Between 2001 and 2007, we grew 250%, performance that is 125% above our previously established goal.

Operating improvements, the diversified service portfolio and use of the best company management instruments were determining factors in obtaining good results in the years marked by growth in the internal market.

We believe in the future of Ireland, and this gives us the incentive and energy to seek growth in an increasingly patient-result-driven and evidence based manner, creating a virtuous circle that begins with youth in the communities and that goes all the way to our patients who inspire our search for excellence in everything that we do.

We believe that execution of our growth plan has only been possible because of the support of our local community, our patients and throughout the society who identify value and quality differentials in our services, our suppliers who operate in conjunction with us to develop solutions and identifying technologies, and especially our team, which is challenged every day to reach new standards of international efficiency and excellence. Everyone plays a part in our ongoing evolution, and they are prepared to continue looking ahead. With courage, responsibility, audacity and determination, we are going to continue believing that, yes, the future can overcome the ‘impossible’.

ICIM Medics owes a great deal to persistence. It has been eight years without desisting, without giving up, without believing that the ‘impossible’ is possible.

The era of success has arrived, and today the company is expanding its own health care model and preparing to operate in Cork, Galway and Northern Ireland. These are the successes that make our story possible.

ICIM Medics was the first company in this sector to adhere to the Irish Medical Council’s Code of Ethics. It follows the code due to its dedication, not because it was an obligation. Because fulfilling obligations is nothing, it is common, and you don’t get such reputation by doing what is common or by fulfilling one’s duties. It is necessary to do more with commitment, with sacrifice and with dedication, and only in this way does the ‘impossible’ come closer to being possible.

A simple word can transform itself into a big relief. It does this with determination. It insists, perseveres, supports the expectations and, finally, manages to mould different people in different forms and make them even better. Without determination, today ICIM Medics would not have the largest integrated medical centre in Ireland, nor would it be the first Irish health centre capable of providing early diagnosis for breast and prostate cancer and integrating the best of the health care services. Just like one word, ICIM Medics expanded its work with technology and creativity and it also invested in new market opportunities. Without determination, none of this would have been possible.
