Hearing Function Assessment

ICIM Medics Hearing Function Assessment is an assessment of your ability to hear sound frequencies, of your ear function and of your middle ear. The Hearing Function Assessment uses Audiometry and Tympanometry to evaluate your ear function.

At ICIM Medics the Hearing Function Test is used to determine the patients’ level of hearing, to monitor degeneration of hearing in patients with previously diagnosed hearing problems, to monitor the effectiveness of treatment for disease of the ear, to assess children with learning difficulties and to diagnose any problems of the middle ear e.g. ear membrane perforation.

High levels of noise at work can cause ear damage. If you have problems hearing it may be because your inner ear is perforated. Once ears have been damaged by noise there is no cure, however, if discover your hearing is damaged you and your employer should take measures to prevent further damage. If you strain to hear people who are talking to you in a social situation (in a pub), are constantly asking people to repeat them selves or work in a noisy environment, you should have the Hearing  Function Assessment.

• Consultation with the Nurse
• Postural hypertension assessment
• Audiometry
• Tympanometry
• Speech Assessment
• Balance Assessment
• Ear Health Questionnaire
• A full report will be posted out to you
