ICIM Medics Thyroid Assessment is an assessment of the macroscopic integrity and functionality of the thyroid gland, especially designed for those with a family history of thyroid disease.

ICIM Medics Thyroid Assessment is used for the early detection of Thyroid Lesions (e.g. cysts, tumours etc.) and/or malfunctions. It involves:

• Consultation with a Medical Doctor
• CTI ( Computerized Thermographic Imaging) of the Thyroid
• A Clinical Examination of the Thyroid
• Ultrasound Examination of the Thyroid
• A comprehensive Thryoid Function Blood Test which tests for:
- TSH
- T3
- FT4
- ThABS

The ICIM Thyroid Assessment takes 1 hour with our Medical Doctor and a blood test with our Nurse. Both are done on the same day in our clinic in Johnstown. Your results will be available within a few days. A full report will be sent out to you or your referring doctor.

If benign changes are found during the Thyroid Assessment, an integrated treatment can be commenced. If this doesn’t work, or if there is suspicion of malignancy, the patient will be recommended to visit an endocrinologist consultant.
