Description:

Horse chestnut has been used extensively in European Traditional Medicine since the 16th century. The seed is thought to reduce varicose veins and swelling of the lower limbs. It can also be used prophylactically to decrease the incidence of deep vein thrombosis following surgery.

Contra-Indications, Cautions and Interactions:

Should not be applied to broken or ulcerated skin. No known interactions. May cause gastric irritation in high doses
